Well, it was a fine day. A dandy kind of day. Just when it was looking to be a wash for writing, my youngest goes and designs the cover for the newest book I’ve been working on. You’ve only heard of it as “Smidge” but today it evolved into something more – perhaps even a permanent name. After a lively discussion, “M” offered the title “Fairless” which fit perfectly (Fairless are the cast off women who have no family, no matches. Everything they touch drains of color which they then sell).
I turned that girl loose on her computer, and this is what she created:
Isn’t that amazing?!
And so, I give you the incredible talents of my youngest and the cover to my newest endeavor.
Now I just gotta finish writing the dang thing.

Love that!
I’ll pass your comment along to me-daughter. Alas, I can’t take the credit!
Beautiful cover Sue (tell your youngest I say so), and I love seeing your name there on the front!
Glad to hear you had a dandy day, too!
thanks – I’ll let her know! It is kinda fun – like it’s a real book or something. Gives me motivation to continue.
Hope you have a grand and dandy weekend!
It IS a real book. Grand and dandy right back at you, friend.
ah shucks… this is me, blushing.
Very cool.. Your daughter has some good graphic design skills.. best of luck on the book!!
Mad skills for a 14 year old! She wants to become a book cover designer for a living. I’m thinking she’s already there…
Ohhhh, I like, I like!
isn’t that sooooo pretty? I like it, too!
Plus, I like your new image on the page.
Thanks! A pic from my yard of the sunrise. Love how low the angle of the sun is this time of year. Nice to see you again, Denise. Miss you girl.
